Who’s research and why?
Our aim is to improve the lives of people impacted by cancer. We want to understand the impact of cancer on the sexual wellness and intimacy of the community in our campaign for policy change and healthcare improvements.
Survey open to
Individuals 18 and over, resident within the UK with experience of cancer (e.g. recieved your own healthcare / experienced your partner’s healthcare / provide healthcare within) National Healthcare Service UK.
What questions will we ask?
The survey will include multiple choice questions (with space for your own additional comments) on the subject of the impact of cancer on sexual wellness and intimacy. We will not ask for any personal identification to ensure your anonymity. We will also collect diversity data to analyse who has responded to our survey. This will allow us to look at who is currently participating in/benefitting from our campaigns and who is under-represented.
Data protection and privacy
We take your data security extremely seriously meaning that we will keep it safe and treat it with respect in line with The Data Protection Act 2018. The data we collect on these sensitive topics will be anonymous and won’t be sold to anyone. GIRLvsCANCER (Charity number 1198507) will be the only party who hold/manage the data and is the data controller. Third parties, including Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH), may have access to the data. Data may be shared with other necessary third parties to use the anonymised data to analayse for future campaigns, research or policy development. Data may be published in the form of a research article or to provide governing bodies with information. Since you cannot be identified by the data we request, it means that the data is fully anonymised and therefore is not subject to the same restrictions placed on the processing of personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
